Below you can find some details:

  • About Editing & Proofreading

I want the Best for YOU, so I work hard to reveal the Best Version Of YOUR BOOK!!

It's not just a quote. It's a rule I live by and a promise I will keep.

I am lucky and honored as I have worked with SJ Molloy, author of the Luminara Series, and Mandy Baker, author of the Alex & Liz novels. You can find testimonials from these two amazing ladies on my website ( http://miasauthorservices.weebly.com/testimonials.html ) and you can ask them personally about their experience.

As a friend of many authors and an upcoming author myself, I understand how important your work is to you, your anxiety, your fears and the hundred of questions you will certainly have. As your editor and/or proofreader, I am here as your guide, your guardian angel, your critic and your friend.

Many other editors work based on editing rounds etc. I don't. If you trust me with editing your baby, I will edit it until it's ready to be published. An example of the process is: "After I complete my first editing round with your MS, I will send it back for you to go through every change and suggestion I made. After you apply them, I will edit the new-MS in a similar manner." As far as Proofreading is concerned, I assure you every single error will be detected and corrected. I am quite meticulous about grammar and spelling; rest assured, you will not need to hire a second proofreader -as many authors do- as I will provide a clean and ready to be published novel.

The fees are low as well as dynamic. That means the price will decrease, if I need to work less than estimated on your book, and vice versa. Plus, the prices are based on word count ( <20K, < 50K and >50K). Feel free to email me at miasauthorservices@gmail.com for more details.

  • Event Organizing
I have a list of 42 Bloggers who are ready to participate to YOUR EVENT! The events organized are Cover Reveals, Release Day Blasts, Blog Tours and Book Blasts.

Please note that the event will be scheduled after 2 months from the date we confirm our arrangement, since the bloggers are overwhelmed with requests and a certain time period must pass in order to maximize blogger participation. However, if there is an emergency, you can email me and we will work something out.

Genres desired are all sub-genres of Romance (incl. Erotica), Mystery and Fantasy/Paranormal.

  • Web Design & Web Consultancy
Web Consultancy is about evaluating your current website/blog and providing feedback on your social media (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Tsu, Google+).

Web Design includes Web Consultancy and it may also include updating the website, if requested and needed.

  • Blogger, WordPress, Weebly and Wiix are known to me and I can easily create your personal e-corner!
  • If you already have a website (or a domain), I can design or update your existent one, without a problem.
  • If you don't have any of the above, we can discuss your options and move forward.

  • Beta-Reading & PA
Since the need for beta readers is increasing, I had decided to create a small but reliable group of bloggers and avid readers who are interested and/or have experience in beta reading (but also PA).

Connecting you with a PA is a free service!

BLOG TOUR :: ALL PLAYED OUT (A RUSK UNIVERSITY NOVEL) BY CORA CARMACK (REVIEW & EXCERPT & TEASER & GIVEAWAY)

All Played Out - Tour banner

ALL PLAYED OUT is a New Adult Contemporary Romance and is the 3rd book in the Rusk University Series, published by William Morrow, an imprint of HarperCollins.

Synopsis:

First person in her family to go to college? CHECK. Straight A’s? CHECK. On track to graduate early? CHECK. Social life? …..yeah, about that….

With just a few weeks until she graduates, Antonella DeLuca’s beginning to worry that maybe she hasn’t had the full college experience. (Okay… Scratch that. She knows she hasn’t had the full college experience).

So Nell does what a smart, dedicated girl like herself does best. She makes a “to do” list of normal college activities.

Item #1? Hook up with a jock.

Rusk University wide receiver Mateo Torres practically wrote the playbook for normal college living. When he’s not on the field, he excels at partying, girls, and more partying. As long as he keeps things light and easy, it’s impossible to get hurt… again. But something about the quiet, shy, sexy-as-hell Nell gets under his skin, and when he learns about her list, he makes it his mission to help her complete it.

Torres is the definition of confident (And sexy. And wild), and he opens up a side of Nell that she’s never known. But as they begin to check off each crazy, exciting, normal item, Nell finds that her frivolous list leads to something more serious than she bargained for. And while Torres is used to taking risks on the field, he has to decide if he’s willing to take the chance when it’s more than just a game.

Together they will have to decide if what they have is just part of the experiment or a chance at something real.

Remember the Ana’s line, when she walked inside Mr. Grey’s office? “Raising the ordinary to extraordinary.” That’s what Cora does. Every. Single. Time.

I’m not sure if it has happened to me before, but I identified myself with both Matteo and Nell. This is probably what I loved the most in this novel. You see, I have been that Nell; the girl who focus on school and nothing more, even the one who is getting called a nerd. But I also have ridiculously high expectations from myself and I do feel sometimes that what I do, who I am is not enough, like Matteo does. Cora gave us both POVs in this novel and it is EXCEPTIONAL! We not only intrude in both minds, but we also become one with them. We understand them, we feel for them. Cora’s writing was brilliant, like always, and I felt I was one with the book. I felt my heart splitting into two equal parts; a Nell and a Matteo part.

Cora, not only dragged me into her story, but she made me feel like I was a part of it!

The way she wrote her characters and the way they evolved throughout the book made this novel stand out to my eyes. It’s not a typical shy-girl-meets-sexy-athlete-in-college story. It has depth and meaning, as well as purity that is unprecedented in College novels. Everything is so much more in this story!

Nell is not an ordinary smart, shy girl. She may not be so social, but she isn’t exactly shy either. She speaks her mind and is confident. She may be hurting but she keeps going. She is full of contradictions and she made me love her very much. So, *coughs* Cora, I would really love a sequel to this one!

Matteo is not your typical handsome, charming player. He has his reasons for acting the way he does. He is loyal, faithful, patient and confident; yet, he’s also unsure, sensitive and makes mistakes and assumptions. But he learns from his mistakes and he becomes a stronger person.

Like I said earlier, I loved many things about this book. But the most significant attribute it has is how effortless you become a character in it. I felt like I was right there with Nell and Matteo. I felt what they felt. I even think like them in most cases. The level of familiarity between me and the characters is unparallelled.

This novel will stay with me; I can already sense it. I finished it 2 days ago, and as I think about the story, the characters and Cora’s writing now that I write the review, I fall in love with it all over again.
So, yes, without a doubt..

All Played Out receives 5 Amazing Stars, because I haven’t felt so closed to the characters in my life.

Cora, you just added another amazing novel in your career! Well done!

Excerpt:

“I can’t believe I’m about to do this. I’ve gone crazy. You’ve made me crazy.”
Torres’s hand lingers at my waist for a long moment before he does what he’s supposed to and helps boost me up onto the base of the Rusk statue that we talked about at breakfast a few days ago. The base alone comes about as high as my chest, and I never could have gotten up without him. Or a ladder. The statue’s pose is reminiscent of the Lincoln Memorial, with Rusk sitting down, only his hand is open and stretched out, and that’s where I’m heading. If I can manage to climb all the way up without falling and breaking my neck. When Texas was an independent republic, Rusk served first as secretary of war and later the Supreme Court chief justice. And when Texas became a state he was elected as one of its first senators.
And now I’m honoring his memory by doing my best to climb up into his lap like he’s some giant bronze Santa Claus. I step up on his foot and try to haul myself up onto his knee, but I have a pitiful amount of upper-body strength. As in … basically none. I jump, hoping that might help, but I only end up clutching ridiculously at the knee, unable to pull myself up but too afraid to let myself drop for fear that I might twist my ankle landing on the statue’s foot.
“I’ve got you, sweetheart,” Torres says, having hopped up behind me with zero assistance. Then his hands are on my ass, and he’s pushing me up onto the knee.
“Did you suggest we do this just so you could grope me?” I call down to him.
“Unexpected benefits.”
Carefully, I climb to my feet, holding on to Rusk’s outstretched arm to keep me steady. Then, after one deep breath, I scramble my way onto his large bronze arm and shimmy my way down into his hand. I sit in his palm, and have to hang one leg over each side. My thighs are a bit too large to fit comfortably, so I feel like I’m wedged into his hand. And one look down at Torres’s grinning face tells me what an idiot I am.
I’m straddling the statue’s hand.
And while it’s holding my weight just fine, there’s no way I don’t look ludicrous. And probably a little lewd.
“Most people don’t actually sit in his hand, do they?”
“It’s the knee for most people, true.”
“Torres!”
“What? I figured go big or go home. Besides … it’s pretty fucking hot.”
“I’m going to kill you as soon as I get down from here.” I start trying to shift myself out of the hand, but my butt really is entirely too large for this thing.
“No! Wait,” he says. “Let me jump down and get a picture. You’re up there already. Might as well make the most of it.”
I try to scowl at him. But it is pretty funny when you think of it. And it will make a good picture. When my brother and I were growing up, Leo’s room had been covered in stuff like this. Photos with friends. He had a big stop sign on his wall that he and his friends had stolen God only knows how. He had souvenirs from places they’d been and things they’d done. Nothing crazy because we weren’t quite well off enough to travel or anything. But little things that meant something to him even if they didn’t matter to anyone else.
Memories.
I had trophies. Medals. Certificates. Those were my memories. But no one takes those kinds of things to college with them. You’re supposed to pack them away in boxes because as soon as you graduate, they don’t really matter anymore.
But now… I have this.
While Torres descends, I look out at campus. It’s dark, but there are streetlamps dotting the sidewalk. Noble Library is a few blocks over, and is still open, but otherwise the university seems abandoned. The statue is in the middle of a grassy courtyard, surrounded by old oaks trees that have probably been growing since the university was founded back in the late 1800s.
It’s peaceful and beautiful, and it occurs to me that I’ve never just sat somewhere on campus and looked. There’s always been somewhere to go or something to do, and I’ve never taken the time. I lean back on my hands and breathe in the night, and when Torres calls for me to look at him, my smile is wide and genuine.
“Come on! Get crazy,” he says.
I throw my hands up and smile even bigger. He laughs and snaps another picture on his phone.
“You’re a real wild one, Antonella De Luca.”
Then something occurs to me, and my stomach tumbles with nerves and a surprising feeling of exhilaration. Can I check two things off my list with this late-night adventure? Can I actually be a little wild for a change? I think about Torres’s words. You’re up there already. Might as well make the most of it. I take a deep breath, shift to sit on my knees, and wait for Torres to slip his phone back in his pocket.
Then I call, “Hey, Mateo!”
When he looks up, his eyes questioning, I gather my courage and the hem of my shirt and lift it up for one, two, three seconds. Then I tug it back down, keeping my eyes squeezed shut because I’m too scared to see his face.

The Ghost

Angela Del Carlo has been living half a life, ever since he walked out on her, shattering her entire existence and leaving her to cope with picking up the fragments. Nothing seems to matter much anymore, and her life is a drab existence of work, run, repeat. She’s forgotten how to laugh, how to love, and even how to live. Most days she’s little more than a ghost.

But he stays away, knowing that he can never be the man she needs or give her what she deserves.

The Angel

But when fate intervenes and Angela’s and Nick’s paths cross again, she’s determined not to surrender her soul to the devil ever again, while he’s desperate to have his angel back in his arms – even if it means changing the rules to get it done.

First of all, Shattered is book 3 in the Inevitable series, following Serendipity and Splendor.

I have read both books and I adore them! They both have compelling stories, amazing characters and exceptional writing behind them. They are both two of my favorite books of all-time!

So, that makes me a huge Janet Nissenson fan! I simply adore her work and her writing style. Long novels with precision, details, emotion, heat; novels that speak to body and soul, heart and mind.

We have met Angela in both books, and she was always so sad so pitiless really that I did want to see her happy ending. I wanted to see her happy and smiling and simply enjoy her life and not just live by every day. On the other hand, I was half afraid that her sadness would be too much for me - I don’t really like reading those ugly cry books; life is an ugly cry itself-

But here we are with Shattered and Angela’s story.

We meet exceptional writing again, as it’s usual with Janet. I just love her approach in everything! We discover Angela in a much deeper level than we discovered Ian or Tessa, for example. It feels like Janet connected us straight to Angela’s heart and mind. It was much more emotional and heavy than the previous books. Julia may the be woman we would like to be, Tessa may be the woman who is a total sweetheart, but Angela is closer to the real woman in the way that she was burnt by a man, kept loving that man but in the end, she became stronger than anyone else. It wasn’t like that I identified with her, but I felt for her, I cared for her more intensely than I did with the others; probably because the others did not need that.

No, I don’t identify with Angela, because as strong as she is, she let a man shatter her into a million pieces even years after their breakup. Perhaps it’s because I’ve never been in love or perhaps it’s because we have a similar background and yet, we are completely different. This was why the first half of the book was difficult for me to read, as I couldn’t connect with her the way I wanted, the way she deserved. But that changed in the second half of the book! As she grew stronger and stronger, she finally found herself.

“I finally felt like Angela, not Angie, not Angel, but Angela.”

What an incredible quote. How inspiring and so very true.
When she lost Nick, she lost herself. Yeah, she became successful in her work -which was surprising to me- but at what cost? She lost not only weight, but herself. That could be the most terrible thing that could happen in a person. But she did survive it!

Angela is the woman whose life has never been easy, but she has overcome every single hurdle that comes her way. She is a fierce woman underneath that sadness and I felt elated to watch her emerge from that darkness that had consumed her.

The first half of the book was dark and on the depressing side, but also priceless. Because this is Angela’s journey to finding Angela. We couldn’t reach the destination without knowing the beginning, no matter how heartbreaking it was.

And the ending? It was perfect. Not for every woman, but it was perfect for Angela.

Nick Manning may be the famous and powerful alpha male, but it was Angela who was the true star of this novel.

Finally, I would like to congratulate every woman who has suffered like Angela has and applaud them for their strength and courage and drive to move forward.

This is a book that could make women proud. Because we all fall at some point. Getting up is what makes us strong. And this novel represents that rise of the phoenix.

So, Shattered receives 4 Gorgeous Stars!

Well done, Janet! Very well done! It was a brave move from you to write a non-hero male leading character and a woman like Angela! You did beautifully!

BLOG TOUR :: GAME OF LOVE BY ARA GRIGORIAN (REVIEW)

Synopsis:

"Game of Love is what a good sports romance should be; fast paced, strategic, emotional, and endlessly fascinating." - 5 Star Review - Natasha Jackson for Readers' Favorite

Gemma Lennon has spent nearly all of her 21 years focused on one thing: Winning a Grand Slam.

After a disastrous and very public scandal and subsequent loss at the Australian Open, Gemma is now laser-focused on winning the French Open. Nothing and no one will derail her shot at winning – until a heated chance encounter with brilliant and sexy Andre Reyes threatens to throw her off her game.

Breaking her own rules, Gemma begins a whirlwind romance with Andre who shows her that love and a life off the court might be the real prize. With him, she learns to trust and love…at precisely the worst time in her career. The pressure from her home country, fans, and even the Prime Minister to be the first British woman to win in nearly four decades weighs heavily.

As Wimbledon begins, fabricated and sensationalized news about them spreads, fueling the paparazzi, and hurting her performance. Now, she must reconsider everything, because in the high-stakes game of love, anyone can be the enemy within…even lovers and even friends. In the Game of Love, winner takes all.

What a breathtaking, earth shattering debut by Ara Grigorian!

I have so many things to say, but first I’d like make a personal note to the author, who is also very charming in real life!

Ara, I read in your bio that you are coming from an entirely different background. We are quite similar in this; you have an Engineering degree and I have a Computer Science, but our love for writing has surpassed these details. So, as a person who understands your place and as a reader/reviewer, I can honestly say that you were born to do this. Writing is your path and I feel honoured having been able to see you from your beginning.

Now, that being said, let’s go to the novel itself.

I have read so many books, some good, some great, some really amazing. So, nowadays I crave for something more; for something that will capture my heart and my mind, something truly and irrevocably worth reading.

Game of Love is out of this world. It’s a beautiful story, with original, extraordinary characters that will make everything and everyone else fade away in the background.

The author and his team could have made it sexier, with more steamy scenes and I LOVE that they didn’t. I loved the fact that the story was what mattered, and nothing more. I loved their approach and their successful work at making this a quality book.

Everything about this novel is original and it sets it apart from any other novel. I had read only one other novel about tennis, and I loved that one, too. It seems that so far, the tennis novels are really good - EXTRAORDINARILY GOOD-. So, after that other novel, I decided I wanted to read some more and here it is; Game of Love.

It has so many details about tennis that even I learnt a couple of things! I loved that the author wanted to be accurate and hence, gave a fascinating story revolving around tennis.

One other thing I loved -yes, I am aware I have been using that word repeatedly, but i can’t help it- is the characters themselves. Gemma & Andre, oh I love you so much! They are both so strong, so determined, so beautiful people...But, besides them, I felt that every other character fit perfectly in the story and everyone contributed something special to it. The ‘cast’ seemed so effortless, that it just added to this already remarkable novel.

There are so many books and so many authors out there, and you may not know what to buy etc..

Game of Love is extraordinary!

I ADORED THIS NOVEL!!

It is a fantastic book with a captivating story and amazing characters.

It is worth every penny.

If you love books, this is a MUST READ.

Game of Love receives 5 Amazing Stars!!!

About the author:

Armenian by heritage, born in Iran, lived in Barcelona, and escaped New York until he found his home in Los Angeles, Ara’s first eleven years were both busy and confusing. The fruit salad of languages would slow down his genetically encoded need to tell stories. Until then, an alter ego would be required…

He received an engineering degree from California State University Northridge and earned his MBA from the University of Southern California. Today, he is a technology executive in the entertainment industry. True to the Hollywood life, Ara wrote for a children’s television pilot that could have made him rich (but didn’t) and nearly sold a video game to a major publisher (who closed shop days later).

But something was amiss until his wife read him the riot act. “Will you stop talking about wanting to be a writer and just do it?” So with her support (and mandate), and their two boys serving as his muse, he wrote stories.

Fascinated by the human species, Ara writes about choices, relationships, and second chances. Always a sucker for a hopeful ending, he writes contemporary romance stories. He is an alumnus of both the Santa Barbara Writers Conference and Southern California Writers’ Conference (where he also serves as a workshop leader). Ara is active member of the Romance Writers of America and its Los Angeles chapter.
