Sweeter than Sin is absolutely amazing!!
I loved it is a deep understatement. It’s an incredible story, exceptionally well written, brilliantly created.
Shiloh Walker is an outstanding writer. I admit this is the first book I have read from her, but her talent is beyond obvious. Her writing is effortless and beautiful. It’s captivating and highly intelligent. She manages to not only keep the readers her captives, but also seduce them and blow their minds.
Sweeter than Sin is one of the most captivating books I have ever read.
It’s smart. That can be quickly concluded by the witty inner monologue of the characters and by the exceptional story she has written.
It’s sexy. Well, because of the foreplay and the intense almost explosive emotions we experience.
It’s fun, because let’s admit it. Lana is amazing! Especially when the real Lana resurfaces..
It’s special, because this exceptional and brilliant story is written by a truly amazing and incredibly talented author like Shiloh Walker.
It has powerful suspense and mystery elements. It has its sweet and romantic moments. It surely has its sexy, steamy and explosive scenes. And it also has this self- discovering attitude that I admire and respect.
Our character, Lana, was stolen from her life and we see her picking up the pieces. We see her trying to find herself. She doesn’t know who she is, what is her purpose, what she is supposed to do, but she knows that she is lost.
However, sometimes, we must get lost in order to be found.
That’s what I got from this book. Being lost is not something we wish to be, without a doubt. But, I have come to believe it is sometimes necessary. When you truly feel lost, that is the moment of truth; the moment you get to see just how strong you are. Lana deals with it. Lana stays and fights, even when odds are against her. Even when she can lose the only things she’s got left.
Adam was lost, too. His grief, his misery, his immense unhappiness; all that emptied him. He lost the one person he adored. And he lost himself and didn’t have much of a motive to get back to his feet. Not until Lana and her sexy glasses came back to him. For her, he fought. For her, he would do anything. Because she was and will always be his everything. Adam is lost, too. But he picks himself up and stands for his woman. He supports her in every way. He may be lost, but he is not weak.
This book is amazing and awe inspiring. I’m not going to even touch of the elephant in the room and David etc..

Slowly, she turned around and lifted her hands, curling them in the soft, worn material of his shirt, pressing her head against his chest. The smell of him flooded her head. Warm man, something spicy—the soap he wore or aftershave—she liked it. Rubbing her cheek against him, she murmured, “It’s ruined my life for years and I’m tired of it. I don’t want to let it ruin my life anymore. That’s why I’m trying to figure out what to do next.” “I already told you. Sleep.” He rubbed his lips against hers and then said quietly, a thread of steel in his voice,
“Tomorrow, we find answers. For now, though…” He slid his hands down her back, cupped them around her hips. He boosted her up and when she twined her legs around him, it was a sweet, sweet bliss. “Maybe the answer to that is think about you. You’ve lived your life day by day, always thinking about keeping your secrets. We need to figure out how you can reclaim your life, but you can’t do that in the dead of night. So for now…think about you. What you need.”
He dipped his head and caught her lower lip between his, bit her lightly. “What do you need?” A slow shudder wracked her body and he decided he liked it. As he lifted his head to peer down into her eyes, she stared up at him, her eyes cloudy and heated.
“Are you suggesting that maybe the answer to this lies in getting naked?”
