Title: Serendipity (Inevitable Series Book #1)
Author: Janet Nissenson
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Synopsis:
Julia McKinnon was convinced she’d found the one – the man of her dreams, the most seductive, experienced lover she’d ever known – and the night they’d spent together in New York was the stuff erotic fantasies were spun from.
But with the dawn of a new day came only heartache and betrayal, and her dreams were snuffed out like so much fairy dust.
Nathan Atwood felt like the lowest sort of life form after seducing the incredibly beautiful girl he met in New York, only to break her tender heart with the confession that he was already involved with someone else. Leaving Julia was the hardest thing he’d ever done, and the memory of their passionate night together haunted his dreams for months afterwards.
Now fate has brought them together again, and they are forced to work alongside each other. Will Julia be able to put aside the feelings she still has for her handsome boss and forge a new life for herself in San Francisco? And how long will Nathan be able to resist the gorgeous woman he’s never really stopped thinking about or wanting?
Serendipity is simply one of my TOP favorite books of all time!
It’s simply AMAZING!!
I loved every second of it. I cherished it and even re-read many scenes as I read the book. I admit I went back and forth a lot of times, because I am utterly in love with this book!
So, I can’t even imagine how many times I will re-read this one. I finished it yesterday and my hands already tremble with need and my mind is already traveling to it!
I have to say that I loved the synopsis as soon as I read it and i was very excited to read it. I also have to admit that I was little intimidated by the length of the book. Unfortunately, I haven’t been very lucky with contemporary romance novels this long. However, Serendipity is amazing!
The storyline was slow and it gave us the opportunity to get to know our 2 main characters, to love them in the process. It also gave us the opportunity to get settled in the Inevitable environment! It felt like a movie without any deleted scenes. It felt like we had the entire story in front of us, without missing anything.
Serendipity is everything.
Julia is sort of the perfect person. So hot that men stop and stare at her. So intelligent that she has won Awards at her young age. So sweet that everyone loves her. So loved since she has the perfect childhood and family. So damn lucky for having an aunt sending her extravagant gifts. She is the perfect person.
Characters so close to perfection usually irritate me, but not this time. Julia is so sweet that you can’t not adore her. She has this way of making you love her. Of course, she had some not-so-decent moments, as Nathan was still engaged. However, the way she speaks, the way she feels; you can’t just blame her. You love her and accept her mistakes.
Nathan is pretty dense for such a smart guy. I guess, that’s with men. His lack of concentration around Julia is absolutely amusing and I laughed at his expressions, reactions and his series of curses, which happened some times. However, when he finally made the right decision, his unyielding affection kind of surprised me. We had seen him fight his feelings and reactions, but when he let it go, it was like any control he ever had slipped away. He was Julia’s man, who loved and cherished her, pleased her, made her laugh. He was just that. Julia’s man. It was a remarkable change!
Don’t get me started on Cameron. Just. not.
Janet Nissenson is an amazing writer. Serendipity is the first book I’ve read and the “I’m impressed” and “I loved your book” are ludicrous understatements. This book is long, but it’s complete. It completes you in a spectacular and unique way. You never get border, as it is never dull. You are always in a ‘Ohh I love this” state while reading the book.
Writing a romance novel this long with no really adventurous and mysterious or paranormal elements is what distinguishes this author from any other. Janet is the first who has accomplished this, as far as what I’ve read so far from other authors. She is truly special and I can’t wait to read more of her work!
So, Serendipity gains 10 Absolutely Amazing Sparkling Stars!!
Title: Splendor(Inevitable Series Book #2)
Author: Janet Nissenson
Genre:
Contemporary Romance
Synopsis:
British
hotelier Ian Gregson had it all – wealth, good looks, power, and a share in his
family’s worldwide, multi-billion dollar luxury hotel chain. His very name was
synonymous with sophistication and elegance, and any woman he wanted could be
his with just a look. But the only woman he truly desired was strictly
forbidden to him for too many reasons to count.
Tessa
Lockwood was young, beautiful, and lonely, despite the fact that she was a
married woman. Her life had not been an easy one, and the extravagant world she
caught glimpses of as an employee of the Gregson Hotel Group was far beyond
anything she could ever dream of. She
could no more imagine herself ensconced in that sort of luxurious lifestyle
than she could attracting the attention of her handsome, debonair boss.
Ian
and Tessa secretly long for each other from afar, never daring to reveal their
forbidden attraction to the other, until circumstances bring them together in a
very unexpected way.
And from that point on, nothing will stand in Ian’s way to
finally make her his.
