Title: Worth the Risk
Series: The McKinney Brothers #2
Author: Claudia Connor
Publisher: Loveswept

New York Times bestselling author Claudia Connor follows up her heartfelt debut, Worth the Fall, with a novel about Matt’s brother, Stephen—and when a McKinney brother falls in love, powerful emotion and overwhelming desire are never far behind.

Two hearts locked away . . . Hannah Walker spends her days coaching children through injury and trauma, one therapeutic horseback ride at a time. She knows all too well how violence can change a child and leave scars that never heal. It’s easy for her to relate to the kids; what isn’t easy is the thought of facing her own harrowing past.

Millionaire playboy Stephen McKinney could use a little coaching himself. Five years ago he encountered his most horrible nightmare—and the nightmare won. No matter what he achieves, nothing can make up for that awful night . . . or so he believes.

Both desperate for a second chance . . . Stephen is used to getting what he wants. And he wants Hannah. So when she turns him down, he’s intrigued. What he doesn’t know is that her secrets will lead him to a place he never wanted to go again . . . to a side of himself he’s tried to forget . . . a side that would scare Hannah away from ever loving him. Now his only chance to win her trust is to bare his soul, risking everything he tried so hard to protect.

Worth the Risk is so much more than I thought it would be.

It is definitely one of the best books of the year, because it has such a special message.

Worth the Risk is all about hope and love, even in the darkest places and the most horrifying situations.

It’s a book that you will reread so many times, simply because it will stay with you.

If I remember correctly, the first book was quite a bit lighter than this one. Of course, they had their issues, but Hannah and Stephen’s past are unprecedented. But, you will not be disappointed by the second book, even you are not into the dark-ish novels.

Worth the Risk must be read.

Hannah has been through hell and back. After reading about her, I realized that hell isn’t just the event when happening. It’s the aftermath. It’s the way you wake up in the mornings, the way you see yourself in the mirror.

Hannah is probably one of the most amazing characters I have ever read about and I feel lucky and happy to have received an ARC and to have reviewed this title.

Hannah is a true inspiration to us all.

Stephen’s hell was also found in the aftermath. He may not have been the exact victim, but he has lost everything he thought he had. Losing someone so violently and so suddenly can only be described as hell.

And only a very good guy would be concerned with his thoughts and shall I say, fantasies about a certain people. Only a very good guy, who is desperately in love, will be concerned with how Hannah will think of him, if she knew. But, Matt was right, ladies. There’s nothing you wouldn’t do to protect your loved ones and if you lose them, every reaction is understandable.

I absolutely adored this book!! It’s on my Best-Reads AND Fave-Series shelves, because I just love Claudia’s stories.

They are so different from each other, but both have this Claudia factor.

Worth the Risk receives 5 Amazing Stars!! It’s truly incredible!!

I can’t wait for some Walker action!!!!!!
