Book:  A Beautiful Mess ( Beautiful Mess #1)
Author:  T.K.Leigh
Publication Date:  August 28th 2013
Genre:  Romance / New Adult / Erotica/ Chick Lit

Synopsis:
What happens when you lose everyone that promised they would always be there for you? How can you protect the few pieces of your shattered heart that remain?

Olivia Adler is a woman with a troubled past. After losing her parents at the young age of six and being raised by an uncle who she lost years later, she refuses to get attached to anyone, including friends. For the past decade, she has been able to remain unattached to any man, too worried about losing someone to get too close. Until Alexander Burnham walks into her life one night and changes everything. But he has issues of his own. And he’s keeping a secret that could turn Olivia's world upside-down. Will Olivia let Alexander in enough for him to get close and protect her from a force threatening her very existence, or will she push him away, scared of letting Alexander in, in order to protect her heart?

A Beautiful Mess is the first installment of a three part series sure to captivate the heart with a story of secrets, courage, and love.

My Review:
The beginning of the journey of Olivia and Alex....
A Beautiful Mess was beautiful, indeed, but it surely wasn't a mess..

If I say that I loved the book,I would be totally lying..This book is to be worshipped...literally...

I love Romance and I'm a sucker for lovestories..But what I adore is a lovestory surrounded by mystery, secrets, lies(don't approve but enjoy),hidden agendas...Oh I get giddy just by thinking of it...
Anyway....

I loved every single thing about this book..

>>The way the author blended Olivia's ignorance or lack of memories,if you prefer, with her instinct..It was the perfect combination of "I don't know it but I feel it"..--->Pure perfection and Utterly Brilliant

>>Generally,I loved Olivia's character..She is strong and feisty;yet she is insecure and vulnerable..And the irony of that is she doesn't even know the half of it...And Alex will have Hell to pay for lying to her..

>>I don't know if I'm looking forward to Alex revealing the truth..Olivia will be terribly hurt..And I think she won't trust Alex much after that..But what I AM looking forward is to learning who is the traitor...I got soo frustrated while reading some parts of the book..I wanted to jump into the book and kick some major ass...(Yeah I know, really mature...Oh well...)

>>As much as I enjoyed Alex's turmoil about lying to our girl(he deserved some torture for all the lying),I think he suffered enough..But it sure ain't over yet...Beyond that,I wish everyone had an Alex in their corner..Alex is the epitome of unyielding devotion...

I hate long reviews and guess what?I just did that..But this book is so amazing it inspired me..

I ADORED IT!...
It's a MUST read...You don't want to miss this...

Review: Moan for Him

Moan for Him
Moan for Him by Terry Towers

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Given by the publisher for an honest review

I really enjoyed it!!I wasn't sure what I expected of these stories,to be honest..But it was rather different from anything else I've read...

The stories were short and fast, but I didn't feel like something was missing..And I actually believe the length of the stories were perfect..

The couple was perfectly matched..Nikki is the alive joyful one, while Grant is the serious alpha male we all ladies love...

In fact,I don't have anything else to say about this series..

If you want a fresh hot short lovestory with an aura of mystery and espionage, then this is your ideal choice...

I'm really neutral about this book..It wasn't bad..But it wasn't quite good or something special either..
I would like more banter between the 2 main characters, instead of the extensive blog posts..I found them a bit boring and they didn't spark my interest..Personally,I enjoy more action and dialogue and not the passive writing like these blog posts..They were humourous, though, but it wasn't It for me..

It was original, though, and I liked that about the story..
That's my humble opinion..

Review: First Surrender

First Surrender
First Surrender by Katie Reus

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Given by the publisher for an honest review

I am huge fan of Katie Reus and I've read all of her books..I strongly believe she is an amazing writer with incredible imagination and creativity..So,I am really excited I was provided with an ARC of her newest book from the publisher..

It was an amazing story!..My only objection is that it was too short..I could have loved to read more about Hayden and Sierra..

The story had amazing grace, despite its pace..Nothing seemed rushed and there was no hint of gaps in the story..And that's really hard to accomplish, when the book is only 70pages..

I really loved the story..Hayden and Sierra made an exceptional debut for the series..I'll be waiting on fire to read what's gonna happen at the Serafina!!

PS
I also loved how Katie connected Iris and Wyatt's story and the new series The Serafina:Sin City...It was a brilliant move!

I not only recommend the book..I say that it's a MUST READ and the series is going to be epic, just like the Red Stone Security Series...

Incredible.Brilliant Move.Exceptional Debut to the series.

Review: Too Fast

Too Fast
Too Fast by Alexia Haynes

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Given by the publisher for an honest review

By reading the synopsis,I was expecting a normal romantic story of 2 people falling in love too fast..But this book was much more than that..Much more than a simple romantic story...

This story had me constantly in tears while reading it..

Luke is such an amazing guy..Despite the fact he hurt our girl,I can understand him..it is extremely hard to be everything for everyone..So he just broke..It happens to everyone..Yes he is amazing but he is human..Anyway,he made it up for us,in the end..

I just admire him so much..He is selfless and caring and so very romantic..He is the epitome of responsibility and he humbles me..

And Savannah..She is an equally amazing character..She handles 2jobs,university,her friends, her mother and then Luke...She amazes me,because she does it all and doesn't complain at all..She doesn't whine or nag to anyone about anything..And when Luke comes to the picture, she simply takes him in..All the way,no questions asked..

2 completely amazing characters fall for each other too fast but too strongly,as well...

It is a moving story that shows that love can emerge anywhere anyhow to anyone..It shows that love is enough to make it work..We see that dreams and love can coexist with responsibility and real life issues...

PS
We also see that you don't have to be a millionnaire to make super-romantic gestures to make it up for your girl..

Real-life love..That's what this books is all about...And I loved it!

Judging by the synopsis,I was expecting a much better book,to speak truthfully...That doesn't mean that it wasn't good,though..

The story was beautiful and the characters were solid..However,I can honestly say that I've read very similar books to this one..And unfortunately, the story wasn't special enough to me,in order for it to stand out to my eyes..

In other words,it was good and I enjoyed it but it wasn't original enough..

The Come Together ( CityScape Series #3 ) by Jessica Hawkins : Blog Tour

Book: Come Together ( Cityscape Series #3)
Series: The Cityscape Series { Come Undone, Come Alive, Come Together }
Author: Jessica Hawkins
Genre: Romance/Contemporary Romance ,Adult Fiction /Erotica

Synopsis:
Come Together is the third and final installment of The Cityscape Series.

With a single decision, Olivia Germaine’s fantasy has become a reality. Now she is faced with two commitments: one she must make and one she must break. But in order to accept a love she never thought possible, Olivia will have to let go of the broken past that defines her - and of deeply-rooted fears that could ruin everything.

Everything is what David Dylan wants to give her, and it’s what he wants in return. He must prove to Olivia that despite his playboy ways, he’s worth leaving behind the stable future her husband can offer her. David is a man who always gets what he wants . . . but this time he may be fighting for something unattainable.

Can Olivia escape the past that threatens to consume her?

And can David break through to her before it does?

My Review:
The journey of Olivia and David comes to an end..Unfortunately for us,fortunately for them..

By reading the first book of the series I realised that theis story is utterly unique..And I fell in love with it instantly..And then, the second book came and my love for the series deepened..When jessica told me she was indeed writing a third book,I had only 2 thoughts : 1."It's gonna be EPIC" AND 2."I HAVE to be on that tour!"...So, here we are...........

I started reading the book,as soon as Jessica sent it to me,to tell you the truth..I don't think I even waited for 2minutes..I was THAT thrilled..And the book naturally did NOT disappoint..

We saw Olivia more determined than ever..We saw her realise for the first time just how much she trully loves David..and most importantly,we saw her fight for them.Fight for him...She overcame everything and everyone..She lost yet another friend, who I might add was not a real friend to begin with..The most important element in a friendship is loyalty..True,Olivia wasn't loyal to her marriage and her vows..But her friends should have put her happiness above all, instead of vows..
~~anyway~~
David reminds me of Gavin Blake..He is a consistent..He loved Olivia from the beginning and he was never afraid to show it..He put his heart out there for her to see..He protected her..And he made her happy..He loved her more than anything..We may use that expression very often, but I haven't seen a better example of it than from this book..She is number one..Always has been and Always will be..Just like it should be..

Jessica Hawkins has created a marvelous romance in a complicated world with real issues..Everything is not perfect or easy..But real love comes out of nowhere,I believe..Jessica gave that to us..She gaves us something real, something we see every day,yet something we only dream at night..
True Love in A Real World..That is the Cityscape Series.....

A Series you do not want to miss.....

My Review:
What anyone can say about Anabel..What A Lady!..She may be short, but her spirit is endless..She is probably the most unpredictable and the most fun character out there..

I really enjoyed Anabel...I can actually relate to her a lot..I am as goofy as she is..Literally,I start thinking of one thing and then out of nowhere my mind is completely elsewhere..So,sympathy to my fellow goofy person!..She is always so open and willing to help others without ever earning something in return..She doesn't ask for anything because she always takes it on her own..I love her independence, her strong will, her big heart..

Now Luke..He is a good guy..His well, umm, designs were made for the good reasons ,so don't jump to conclusions and take his head off...Just wait till the end..the very end...He is made for Anabel..No one can affect her like he does..But it goes both ways,as always..She has touched him more than anyone ever did in his own life.....

Anabel is a great role model for young women..She is a strong-willed,good-hearted mesmerizing woman, who loves from her the bottom of her heart and gives it all back..
I'm glad I was part of the Blog Tour for her own final book..

Author Bio:
Meet Tracy Ellen…
For all of my life, I’ve always had a thing for shoes that make me say “Oh, yum!” and for reading romance novels written about hot, dangerously smart men and sassy, intelligent women. It’s not an exaggeration to say I’ve avidly read everything I could get my greedy little hands on to find these jewels.
One day this past year or so, I realized that I spend more money on books now than I do on shoes--and I was stunned. Should I be ashamed of this fact or proud? Then an even stranger thing happened. It was like a switch turned off/on inside me. All of a sudden instead of wanting to read about diabolically sexy men, I wanted to write my own story of the building hot romance between a lippy, confident woman and a gorgeously mysterious man.
So began my budding writing career. Then I made another happy discovery—I absolutely love writing and still have a thing for shoes! Since then, my self-published books include A Date with Fate and Courted by Karma in The Adventures of Anabel Axelrod series. The third book in the series, In Love by Design will be released in September 2013.
For those of you who may want to know some pertinent facts: I was born in Indiana to middle-class parents, the third out of five hellions. My mother wanted to go to work every day. I’ve always lived in the Midwest, except for six steamy months in Florida when I was nineteen. Currently, I reside in the suburbs of St. Paul, Minnesota with my family. The college town of Northfield featured in Anabel’s Adventures is just down the road a jaunt.
I love, love, love connecting with readers. Comments, posts, reviews, and emails are always welcome. Follow my blog or like me on Facebook to be aware of events and giveaways, or new books I’m publishing.
Thanks again for reading my books and supporting this indie author!

My Review:

There are no words to describe how much I adore the Give Me Series..
All the characters are so amazing that make you wanna know everything about them..I fell in love with the first book and I thought I would like the second book but not as much as the first one..You know, first love and all..Boy,was I wrong..

I LOVED IT!
Simple as that..In my opinion, this is a MUST READ..Even if you haven't read the first, this is a fantastic read..But you really should read the first one..

I was extremely lucky to be a beta-reader for it,as well..And it was love at first sight..In fact,I read it in the summer and I have re-read it a couple dozen times..Yes that's true..I'm not kidding..

Kate McCarthy wrote yet another beautiful lovestory,in the middle of suspense, mystery and the internal insecurities that plague us all..

Quinn is so full of life, even if she has no social life..She is just so bright and so very lovely..She endured the inespicable and she's still standing..Some could say, including her,she simply survives every day..In a way that is true..But her light and beautiful soul is so kind, when all she's ever known is heartbreak and pain..

Travis is the lonely guy among the family and friends..The guy who does his job,is a great brother and friend..The one who participates but doesn't quite feels it..Well,that changes when he meets Quinn..He found what was missing..He found her..Of course,Travis being a man and all,he screwed up..Big Time..But,he was forgiven later..I don't blame her..He needed to grovel..a lot..But who can stay mad at those eyes?..Like I said,Quinn is a strong lady..

OK..I will stop my babbling..
The Conclusion is you won't find another book like it..It's alive, flowing with grace and it brings us everything we wanted and more..
Kate,you did it again,girl!!

PS
Oh yeah, and my lovely Kate is currently writing the story about Casey aka Jensen Ackles..xoxo..Woo-Hoo!!..I would like a story about Coby,next..He is like the calm force of nature behind everyone, but we really don't know much about him....

My Interview with Cindy Paterson for her Blog Tour of Jump

As you've probably figured out by reading my review,I loved her book Jump (The Senses #1) and I am so glad that I did the interview with Cindy..So,let's not waste any time and let's get to know her!

Welcome to my world,Cindy!

Hey Mia, thank you for having me on your blog today.

Jump is the Senses #1 book. Was Jump always meant to be the first book in a series or did you initially considered it as stand-alone maybe?

JUMP was always meant to be the first book in a series. I had three books planned right from the start. I think because I was so invested in every character that I wanted each of them to have their own story.

How did you come up with the idea of series? How did this Senses Journey begin?

I used to carry a note pad with me (now it’s my iphone) and jot down ideas throughout the day. So, I was constantly trying to think of new ideas that hadn’t been done before. In the paranormal genre many ideas are exhausted, so this took me a while. But since my life revolves around animals, my mind started whirling about their senses and how much more they’re heightened than humans. How animals have this incredible intuition. Dogs can sense a seizure before the person even has one. A bloodhound can track shed skin cells. My horses know how I’m feeling better than I do. Their instinct is what keeps them alive in the wild…it’s ingrained in them. So, the Senses were born and from there. I started digging for a history that was based on something that actually happened. The witches of Zugarramurdi fit perfectly and everything snowballed from there.

Writing your first book must have been quite a «bumpy ride», I imagine. What was the hardest part of writing your book?

The hardest part of writing is marketing. I find nothing really hard about the actual writing. I love every aspect of it. The first page to the last page and even the editing. The entire journey of writing a book is magical to me. I feel so fortunate to have found my passion in life and get to do it every day.

Until now, you’ve preferred writing in the Paranormal Romance Genre. Is that something you’re planning to change?

Originally, I wrote historical romance. Can you believe it? They were my first taste of the romance genre and maybe one day I’ll have them edited and published…hmmm or not. I love paranormal, a little more freedom with what can happen, but I write what comes to me and right now it’s an erotic romance that has a splash of dark, okay a waterfall of dark. I never thought I’d write in this genre, but the characters came to me and I didn’t even know it would be erotic or dark, until I started writing the story. It will be released (fingers crossed) in November. It’s a rock star series and I even have planned a spin-off from it that I’m really excited about. Okay, I’m excited about everything that has to do with writing, lol.

What genre do you prefer reading? Or, are you a total bookworm (like me) who doesn’t have a preference?

Can I say semi-bookworm? Because I’ll read anything with romance.

Are you reading any book right now? If not, what was the last book you read?

Oh I was reading a book from an author friend of mine, which isn’t published yet, but wow it was outstanding. And now I’m just about to delve into “The Opportunist” by Tarryn Fisher. I heard wonderful things about this author!
Tarryn is indeed wonderful!

Besides reading and writing, what are your hobbies? How do you like to spend your free time?

I have two horses, brother and sister, both Andalusion’s and they are my sweeties. I had their mother for eighteen years and watched them being born, so they’re part of the family. I’m a huge fan of natural horsemanship, so I’m constantly trying to study and improve my relationship and bond with my horses. They bring the calm into my life, taught me patience and bring so much laughter. Horses never lie…they’re real, I adore that about them.

Tell us some fun facts about you, your life or/and your book.

I’m terrified of flying. I mean completely petrified. I had to go to the hospital before one flight because I was so stressed out my jaw locked shut. I still fly, as I never want it to stop me from enjoying life, but damn it sucks. Anyone have any hints on how to get over this?

Well I actually love flying..Every aspect of it..So I don't know if it's a hint or not, but during every take off,I'm always thinking of the endless possibilities life has to offer,of how big the world is and how many things there are out there that I have yet to see...Flying is just so dreamy to me..Hope I helped..

The female characters in the Senses series all have a little bit of me in them. Danielle, Rayne, Delara, Abby and Anstice. I’ll let the readers decide which parts. Okay, I’ll give you one. Danielle and the mini cooper, yep that’s me. And yes, I’m yelling at the discourteous drivers who pull over wherever they want, thinking hazard lights means it’s okay. (lol I don't drive but I still yell at reckless drivers oops! )

On your Goodreads profile, you mention you live with a menagerie of pets that keep you on your toes. I don’t have any pets unfortunately, so what I do is bug the others who have. So, do you want to tell us about those amazing pets of yours?

Ummm, well I’m animal crazy. Working at the veterinary hospital is amazing, except you want to take the unwanted one’s home. And *cough* I have.
So, 2 horses, a Newfoundland, a Yorkie, a sphinx cat, a Persian, a crazy cat Dobbie found as a 2 week old in the garbage, and then there is Bucket, my red-footed Tortoise. ( holy moly!) The Yorkie and the cats are rescues. But Mia, you know what’s so sweet? They all love one another. It’s pretty amazing when you capture special moments. Just the other day, the Yorkie was sleeping (snoring like crazy), and Dobbie the cat comes over, plunks down beside her, wraps his paw around her neck and starts cleaning her ear. Then the Tortoise ambles up, works his way in there and falls asleep (well not sure how to tell if he’s sleeping or not). Priceless.

Do you have anything planned for the future? A trip maybe..Or, an idea of a new book..Or, more pets..

OMG, no more pets.
I’m going to Las Vegas soon with my bestie for a few days. I’ve never been, so I can’t wait. I’m not into gambling, but we’re going to see Elton John which wow…it’s Elton John. ( my mum is a huge fan, she's actually really jealous of you right now!)
Working on “Take” the next in the Senses series. The title is so perfect and many thanks to Michelle who named my book from a contest I had on Facebook a couple weeks ago.
Who knows, maybe I’ll find a great story in Las Vegas, I mean what happens in Vegas doesn’t always have to stay in Vegas, does it?  (hell no)
