Can two broken people help each other learn to love again and find their way home? For Samantha Cole, love and relationships have never come easy. Pain and heartbreak have forced her to build a wall around herself. Hoping to start over, Sam leaves Boston behind and moves to Napa with her best friend. Trying to make better choices in love, Sam establishes rules to keep her heart safe. Little does she know that one man will challenge her and change her mind. He has the potential to break down her walls and bring her heart back home. Ben Foster has been dealing with heartache and guilt for the past two years, believing he lost his only chance at love. Pounding guys on the Rugby field and running the family winery get him through the pain. When Sam arrives the fog over his life slowly lifts. He wonders if she is the one who can help his heart find a new way home. Letting go of the past and moving forward is not always easy.
Their connection is strong, but their pasts keep getting in the way. Will Sam and Ben's journey tear them apart or help them find a place to call home?
Finding Home is such a
lovely and sweet story…It may lack some huge drama and tragedies etc, but it’s
full of love and hope..I loved this book..
Finding Home is one of those
books that are stuck with you, after you read them..Personally, I read this
book a couple of days ago and now that I’m writing this review I can honestly
say that I remember every minute of it..It’s stuck in my mind..And even though
I remember it so vividly, I want to reread it even more..
I really like Aine
Kelley’s writing..It’s emotional and detailed..It’s careful and serious with a
playful tone at the same time..She’s a remarkable writer! And yes it’s only her
debut novel! I still can’t believe that small fact..
Some books just stay
with you..And this book is definitely one of them..I feel very happy and
privileged to be part of her Blog Tour and simply contribute to this book’s
journey..
Great Story. Incredible
Author. And what about the characters? Let’s see about them..
>>Sam is The girl.
The one we all want to be. The friend who we all want to have. Sam is a great
strong young woman who may feel betrayed and under the weather..But she hangs
on..She keeps going..She doesn’t show her weakness or her hurt..She’s a fighter
and fighters move on and chase their happiness..
>>Ben was a lost
man. I would like to say that he was lost until he met Sam. But that wouldn’t
be true. He was lost until he lost Sam. Because that was The moment for him and
them. When he met Sam, he was enlightened and yes brought back to life. But
when he lost her, he realized who he was without her. He saw what he would
still be without her…So he need a small push..Or better yet some slapping..xoxo You’ll know what that means, once you
read the book
In conclusion,
Finding Home is a
MUST-READ..It’s a great book beautifully written…You’re missing something, if
you don’t read it!!
I'm a wife, mother, teacher, and now author. Aine Kelley is my pen name for when I take off my 'super mom' cloak and write. I'm a Massachusetts native who resides in a small seaside community outside of Boston. Besides my immense love for my hubby and two girls, I'm a huge lover of the Patriots and Red Sox! I'm a one click addict and love getting lost in a great story. I can be wooed or bought, depending the situation, with wine and chocolate. Like Samantha in my book, I'm a huge 80's movie lover and a music freak! My love of books, beta reading for authors and reviewing for a blog, led me down the writing path. My motto is: Live freely, laugh heartily and love deeply.

I would like to introduce you, Ladies, to Ben!!And I have a Special Guest Star,as well !!
Welcome, Ben to my blog!
How are you feeling? Is everything good with you?
Hello Mia. I’m great. Things are going really well –
perfect actually.
Let’s go to Memory Lane,
shall we?
Ok
What was your first
impression of Sam, when you heard her voice and when you met her?
Wow. Let’s see. When I first heard her voice it
sounded nice but I didn’t think too much of it. I was too stuck in my own head.
But she kept on talking and well I kept on listening. The more I listened the
more I liked. She didn’t put any pressure on me and that meant a lot.
Now when I first met her I was a nervous wreck. She
had no idea the affect she had on me. Her outer beauty was obvious but I also
knew all about her inner beauty. One
look at her and I knew I was in trouble. A good kind of trouble…and that scared
the hell out of me.
What is the funniest
moment of you and Sam? Did it involve you tripping over something, spitting
coffee over something she said perhaps?! Those
were incredible moments, if I may add…
Ha – yeah she kind of turns me into an idiot
sometimes. I thought I was real cool, but not when I’m around her. She seems to
have the upper hand. She has no filter and I love that about her. But if I had
to pick one thing it would be our discussion about “BOB” and that’s all I can
say about that.
In the beginning, you
kept pushing her away, despite the insane attraction you felt towards her..How
did you manage that?
Again the idiot thing. I was scared. A total pussy.
The attraction I felt for her overwhelmed me and I had no idea how to deal with
it. For me it was easier not giving in than risking my heart.
You were slapped in the
back of your head quite a lot, before you settled in with Sam..When you think
about that, don’t you feel that you really needed it?
Ah fuck yeah – I needed it. Oh sorry, can I
swear? My buddy Jack knocked some sense
into me but the one with the hardest hand was Gramps! He really unleashed on
me.
The most confusing
moment I had was during the party..You rejected Sam, even when she put herself out
there again and even when you were crazy jealous of her and her admirers..Why
and How? I’m kinda judging you
here..kinda..
Hey – give me a break. My heart was a mess. And if it
makes you feel better I was a wreck watching her. Not having that dance with
her still bothers me; in fact, I try to dance with her now every chance I get.
And the other
confused/annoyed moment I had was when she left..Why did you not chase after
her immediately? Sam is definitely the girl you fight for with everything
you’ve got..At least, you got that after
all…
Ben - Fuck …you ask the tough questions.
Sam - Can I join in on this interview? I would love to
hear the answer to this one.
Ben – Hey Babe you know the answer. I was a
pussy-again – I thought I was better off alone.
Not letting you break my heart anymore than you had when you left. But
once I had some sense knocked into me – literally- I knew I had to go and get
you.
Sam- Awww, I love that Jack whacked you good. I love
that you came for me. It’s one of my favorite moments, even though I was
miserable without you for a whole week.
Ben – I’m sorry babe. I was miserable without you too.
Mia, excuse me for a minute – I need to kiss my girl. Ok – I’m ready for the
next question.
When did you realize
that Sam was it for you? That she is the love of your life?
Ben -The moment she left I knew. The pain and my need
for her was too much. I knew I was gone. My heart was filled with her love –
and there she goes turning me into a fucking poet again.
Sam- I love when you get all poetic with me.
Ben – Thanks babe.
What do you love the
most about her? And what frustrates you the most?
Ha – that’s an easy one – Her filter – I love it and
it frustrates the shit out me. No one or no topic is safe. She definitely keeps
things interesting.
I love it because we keep each other honest and talk
about everything now.
It frustrates me because I’m a guy and I don’t always
like to share everything.
But she keeps me on my toes and I love that.
Sam – are you bringing up the BOB thing again?
Ben – that may have come up but I kept the details to
a minimum. We can’t share everything with the new readers.
Mmm…I’m wondering…In the
past, you’ve been crazy jealous of her..Are you still the same way? Is Sam the
jealous type? If yes, who do you think is more jealous, you or Sam?
Ben – I did get crazy jealous but not anymore. I know she’s mine. Besides if any guy came up
to her they would end up on their ass. I think Sam should answer for herself.
Sam- Hmm. I can’t say that I am never jealous, but it’s
not because of anything that Ben has done. It comes from past relationship
experiences. I am still working on trusting my heart and letting the pain go.
Ben does a great job stomping those thoughts out of my mind immediately with
just a kiss or a touch.
Ben, I really like you
so I’m sorry if I put you on the spot for a question or two..But because I like
you, I wanted to clear things up a bit more..Take care of yourself and of our
girl Sam!
Ben -No problem – I expected the tough questions. It
was really great talking you. I will always take care of my sweet Sam.
Sam – Thanks for letting me crash your interview. I
love hearing what he has to say. And I think that we do a great job of taking
care of each other. It was nice chatting with you.
